A day in Punjab University: An educational system

Link Everyone today are very keen to hold Punjab University degree its all because it has a stroHere's the link to my Vlog.. ng reputation for providing quality education and its rich for its academic excellence, vibrant campus life and history.

If we talk about its history so Punjab university was formally established in 1822 in Lahore by British coloniel in Indian subcontinent. It has 13 Faculities of which there are 83 departments. Yes! its a huge number. Meanwhile I managed to go to Hailey department of Banking and Finance  and the other department I went was (pucit) of computer science.

It was very knowledgable session with the students and teachers and furthur we went to know about thier studies and environment as well meanwhile, it was not allowed to visit their media/ mass communication department.       

The university of punjab is very vast and it has total of five campuses

The first campus is the Allama Iqbal Campus in Old lahore it is situated in the middle of Lahore, the busy city. As its an old campus it has buildings of great architectural significance. The University's significant bodies, such as the Senate, the Syndicate, the Selection Board, and the Advanced Studies & Research Board, typically convene at this venue. Meanwhile, the Allama Iqbal Campus remains home to the College of Pharmacy, Fine Arts, Information & Technology.

Then comes the Quaid-e-Azam campus which is a new campus build in approximately 7km sqaure. The campus includes academic buildings, dormitories for students, housing for staff members, a Medical Complex, sports fields, a swimming pool, a Boat Club, and various other amenities. It offers a serene and favorable atmosphere for academic endeavors. The presence of a canal flowing through the campus enhances the beauty of the surroundings. This campus has departments like social sciences, engeneering , management sciences and many other.

 

The Gujranwala campus, it was for the first time when the campus was build outside of lahore near Alipur chowk and the building has resemblance with the campus in old lahore. It has departments of Law, , commerce banking etc.

The khanspur campus, also known as sir syed campus located in Ayubia and the last is the Jhelum campus.

Moving on, When we first went to the Hailey department of banking it was so huge and wide we walked alot and we observed inside the department ricksaws was also there for the students ease. The campus was Co-education but the classrooms were arranged seprate for girls and boys and they were allowed to attend their own classes seprately. The environment was strict for them as boys and girls canot be seated togeather and even they were not allowed to roam around with each other this is because their are student groups created the main was Jamiyat as it is the prestigious institution. Jamiyat organizes seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns on various social issues. while I interviewd students I observed the sudents were quite clever and sharp in banking and finance department. There were also two seprate masjids in this department to offer prayers. Moving on the computer science department(pucit) it was just having one building it was small as compared to Halley. There were total of two grounds only in pucit.  

My experience and during travelling it was quite fun and healthy discussions happened and the department provides well equipped library with over 10,000 different books of every niche. And most important part of Punjab University is that it organizes various cultural events throughout the year, such as Basant Festival, Alhamra Cultural Show, and the Youth Festival. These events showcase traditional music, dance performances, and cultural exhibitions.

 

Further the university also hosts concerts and musical performances by renowned artists mainly by Atif Aslam and many others. These events create a lively atmosphere on campus and give students a chance to enjoy live music and performances. Occasionally, the university collaborates with filmmakers to promote movies. Film screenings and promotional events are organized, providing students with an opportunity to engage with the film industry and enjoy new releases. Moving on, Punjab University hosts an annual sports festival called "Punjab University Sports Gala." It features a wide range of sports competitions, including cricket, football, basketball, and athletics. It's a great opportunity for students to showcase their athletic skills and team spirit these are the exciting events that take place at Punjab University, including the Hailey Department of Banking and the Department of Computer Science. It's always a fun and happening place to be and the both departments organizes various programmes, seminars, and events. In short the Hailey Department of Computer Science at Punjab University offers a dynamic environment for students interested in the world of computing.
